First off, I’d just like to apologise about not continuing my SummerSlam reviews. They were pretty hard to do, and it took way too much time! I’ll do it again next year (but all the way through), as long as I leave enough time! I’d also like to say a thank you for your continued support. My twitter has been blowing up the past couple of days with you guys! Hope you enjoy my preview/predictions!
Randy Orton vs Sheamus
The winner of this match all deprends on whether Sheamus cashes in later in the night or not, and whether he is successful in his attempt. If he does successfully cash in, he’ll most likely lose this. However, I don’t think this is how it will go down. I think Sheamus will actually win this one. I don’t think he’ll cash in on the winner of the Rollins Cena match.
I’ve liked the build up to this, because they’ve had it play in with Kevin Owens and Cesaro. If it was just Orton and Sheamus alone, I would not of been a fan. I think it’ll go to Night of Champions for their last match of the feud. Sheamus will win, seeing as that’s just how the WWE book feud now, and the fact that Orton has looked better in most weeks leading up to this.
Dolph Ziggler vs Rusev
The build up to this has been pretty poor. With Ziggler out, Lana has pulled their side as much as she could, but it’s been pretty poor. It has helped Rusev look pretty good though. I love his Bulgarian flags with his face on! However, I’m not a fan of Summer Rae with him – it just doesn’t work for me.
I think this will continue, with Rusev winning in this one. Because Dolph Ziggler has barely been involved, they won’t want to end the feud just yet. I’m hoping that with Ziggler now available, this feud will interest me a little bit more.
The Lucha Dragons vs Los Matadores vs The New Day vs The Prime Time Players for the WWE Tag Team Championships
I’m really not looking forward to this. The build up has been awful! Just as it seems that the tag team division is looking on the up, they produce crap like they have right now. The only two worthy to note is The New Day and The Prime Time Players. New Day will most likely win this one, because Darren Young and Titus O’Neil have been horrible champions.
Stephen Amell and Neville vs King Barrett and Stardust
Again, I’m not really looking forward to this. Neville and Stardust had a pretty good little feud going on before, but the inclusion of Amell and Barrett has made me uninterested for this. Barrett and Stardust don’t even make sense as a tag team! Amell and Neville will win this, purely because the WWE puts all of their celebrities over.
Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper vs Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose
This is basically just a rematch of all the 6 man tag matches The Shield and The Wyatt Family had. The build up has been okay for this. It’s bored me a little purely because Bray Wyatt just does not appeal to me. I have a feeling that we’ll see a heel turn for Roman Reigns here, if this is the case, then Wyatt and Harper will come away with the win here. Even if Reigns doesn’t turn on Ambrose, I think we’ll see some sort of interference in this.
Big Show vs The Miz vs Ryback for the Intercontinental Championship
I never thought I would’ve said it, but I’ve actually enjoyed The Miz being in this feud! I’ve never liked him before, yet I’ve enjoyed his work in this. The Big Show must really be going for a record with the amount of heel/face turns in his career! The only problem is that they have a face in Ryback, and a heel in Miz, so it leaves Big Show as the ‘inbetweener’.
I’ve enjoyed The Miz here so much, I actually hope he comes away with the win. Ryback hasn’t done enough to raise the profile of the IC title, and I think Miz can make it more prestigous. After all, he is a former WWE Champion!
Cesaro vs Kevin Owens
Just as a side note, Owens vs Balor last night has to be match of the year for me so far! I loved it! Because Owens did lose last night, he’ll probably come out with a win. This will not help Cesaro at all, but I think fans would prefer him to lose than Owens, because of Owens being ‘buried’ by Cena.
This match has the potential to be match of the night. Both know how to work in the ring, and their chemistry is clear to see. I’m kind of glad that Kidd went away with an injury, because it means Cesaro has finally gotten the push he deserves, but they need to make sure that Kidd has something to go back to when he returns.
Nikki and Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs Paige, Becky Lynch and Charlotte vs Tamina, Naomi and Sasha Banks
This could go either go really well, or be too complicated. There’s too many people in there at one time for me to make it run smoothly, but they do all know what they’re doing. The best think to do is put Paige, Charlotte and Becky over, because they have the most NXT stars.
I’m not too sure who will be eliminated first. It would kind of make sense to have Team Bella to go first because they’re trying to promote the NXT women – but then you make the supposed longest Divas title reign look bad then. I think PCB will win this though.
John Cena vs Seth Rollins in a Title for Title match
I really hope Cena doesn’t make the Pedigree look bad, like he has done with Kevin Owens’ pop up powerbomb. I just want a straight up match with no more than 3 finishers in it! I love Seth Rollins’ matches, but I’m not looking forward to this because of John Cena.
The title for title aspect of it intrigues me, because I can’t help but think that there won’t be a clean finish to it. If there does happen to have a clean finish, then I hate to it, but I think John Cena will win. Vince McMahon will of course try and make Cena the most successful wrestler ever with another title reign. If Cena does win, I can see him vacating the United States title and holding a tournament for it.
Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker
It’s great to see a rematch with two of the biggest names in pro wrestling right now. I’ve loved the build up to this! The only bad point about it would have to be that we haven’t seen fresh stuff from both these two every week. I have no idea who will win this one though.
If they go with to end the feud, then I’d like to see something happen with Sting. Brock could absolutely destroy The Undertaker, and Sting comes out to save him. The Undertaker could get annoyed because he thought that he could’ve beaten Brock by himself, and so they have a feud into WrestleMania 32.
If the decide to carry on going, then I like what Jim Ross said (crazy, I know0. He thought it would be good to see Brock win again, which makes Taker go crazy. They then go for a final match at Mania. The Undertaker then goes crazy that he can never beat Brock Lesnar when it matters. If I had to choose, I’d have to go with Lesnar taking this one.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! There’s loads of matches on this card; it’s going to be a long 4 hours! I am looking forward to it though. Hopefully I can stay awake though, cause I couldn’t last night for Takeover! I’ll be live tweeting through the event, so check me out on Twitter, and let me know your predictions! Thanks guys!
