I would just like to start off my saying that I’m so not looking forward to this ppv. The build up has been shocking, which is a shame because WrestleMania 31 kind of raised our expectations. However, we were convinced that WrestleMania was going to be poor, but that was far better than anyone expected it.
Tyson Kidd and Cesaro vs The New Day
This ones will be on the pre show, which is a shame really. The WWE do not make enough effort in the tag team division, and so talented wrestlers like these are pushed off the card. The heel turn for New Day hasn’t really done too much to excite me. I think Kidd and Cesaro will retain in this one. Not too interested in it though.
Roman Reigns vs Big Show – Last Man Standing Match
Another match between these two. Why? Everyone has voiced their dislike for this to go ahead, so why have they gone through with it? I’m not too sure who will win this one, but I also don’t care. Roman Reigns will look quite strong if he does win though.
Dolph Ziggler vs Sheamus – Kiss Me Arse Match
What great potential these two have. Put them in an extreme rules match, and people will care, but a kiss me arse match? Really? It’s such a stupid match type, and it makes me question the name of this PPV. Sheamus needs to pick up the win to look like a legit heel.
Dean Ambrose vs Luke Harper
This is another strange one, as they don’t seem to have anything to base this feud off. However, it has the potential to steal the show in my eyes. You have the most hardcore guy on the roster in Ambrose, and a very strong wrestler in Harper. Adding the chicago street fight stipulation to it makes it a match that has endless possibilities. I’m hoping that Dean Ambrose will get a small push this year, leading to a main event Shielf fued at WrestleMania 32, but I would not be annoyed if he did lose.
Nikki Bella vs Naomi – Divas Championship Match
Nikki has been holding the belt for a long time now though. Naomi’s heel turn doesn’t quite make sense to me, but it’s nice to see someone nee challange for the title. As Nikki has had it for a long time, and Naomi has had a serious push lately, I think we’ll be seeing a new Divas Champion.
Bad News Barrett vs Daniel Bryan – Intercontinental Championship Match
Daniel Bryan must be cursed! Everytime he gets a championship, he gets injured. If this is to go ahead, everyone knows that Barrett will win in a very short time so that Bryan can have a long time out.
Rusev vs John Cena – Russain Chain Match for the United States Championship
I’m not 100% sure, but I think this is basically a four corners match, with Cena and Rusev being tied together with a chain. I’m actually looking forward to this because it’s such a unique match stipulation. We haven’t seen too much of Rusev since WrestleMania which proves that he needs the title more than Cena does. He seems a little bit irrelevant without that and his undefeated streak.
Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins – Steel Cage Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – RKO is banned, and Kane is controlling the escape door
Too many stipulations right? I was actuallyt excited after WrestleMania as I thought we’d see Orton vs Rollins in an extreme rules match, but no. A stupid cage match where the RKO is banned? This automatically means that we’ll see the RKO at Extreme Rules. Why does Kane need to be in charge of the door too? Since when was that ever a thing? I miss the times where they’d actually have to climb the cage to win. Stupid PG era! The match will be good, but the ending will ruin it. I think the ref will get knocked down, causing Orton to hit an RKO. I think he’ll win this, to set up a rematch at Payback.
Sorry I’ve been a little bit slow at blog posts, and tweeting. Exams are pretty close, so I’ve been focusing on those. Let me know your predictions for Extreme Rules tonight, and my review will be up either tomorrow or tuesday. Thanks for reading guys!
